Habitat for Humanity is offering a 3-months internship opportunity in the field of Fundraising at our affiliate in Cluj-Napoca. Habitat for Humanity Cluj is a nonprofit organization that builds simple, decent and affordable homes for people in need.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
Habitat for Humanity Cluj is seeking an energetic intern to assist with resource development, following the needs of housing in Cluj County. The suitable candidate for this position is someone dynamic, persuasive and intuitive, confident and enthusiastic. Also, good communication and organizational skills are essential.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Identifying new sources of financing;
• Conceiving and creating presentation materials, presentations, proposals or other materials needed for the activities of the fundraising department;
• Identifying potential sponsors/donors;
• Developing partnership opportunities with certain organizations from the community;
• Creating, maintaining and harnessing long term partnerships with the organizations from the community;
• Implementing the fundraising strategy;
• Taking part in planning and organization campaigns, events and other fundraising activities;
• Managing the organization donors/sponsors database;
• Monitoring, evaluating and reporting the results of the fundraising activities;
• Other tasks and activities linked to the job description.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Graduate/student in the Communication, Political Science, Public Administration, European Studies or other related fields;
• Good knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Access) and CorelDraw Graphic Design Software;
• Very good knowledge of English;
• Project management knowledge;
• Knowledge about fundraising and CSR;
• Proactive person, willing to make himself/herself useful;
• Good communication skills and strategic thinking;
• Creativity and capacity for critical reflection;
• Availability to spend at least 20 hours/week at our office in Cluj-Napoca.
OPPORTUNITIES:

The Internship will take place from 2nd of December 2011 to 2nd of March 2012. The internship is not paid but it offers part-time employment opportunity at the end of the internship.
